HBA - Subway Swisherr Jnr. League GIRLS TEAM ENTRY

LEAGUE TIMES AND DATES

• Saturdays - Round 1 commences 17th Feburary
• 8 week game roster (Including final round)
• Finals Round will be held 13th April (Final week of Term 1)
• Final round will be a GRAND FINAL week and every team will play in a Subway Swisherr Jnr Grand Final… 1st v 2nd, 3rd v 4th, 5th v 6th (in each Grade division).
• Easter Weekend is a BYE round, (30th March)
• Game times will be from 8:30AM and be fully concluded by 12PM
• All games will be held at Swisherr Hoops Academy at 103 Melville Street.

DIVISIONS

• Three divisions to enter, corrasponding to 2024 school year levels. Grade 1/2 (2017&2016).  Grade 3/4 (2015&2014).  Grade 5/6 (2013&2012.
• Players can play up but not down a divsion/grade.
• While club teams are welcome, we also encourgae club teams to look at the great rosters run by Basketball United, Greater Western Conference and the southern Tasmanian basketball clubs.
• We welcome primary school teams, groups of friends, Swisherr Jnr. program participants and brand new to the game individual players.
• If entering a team we encourage you to recruit 6 or 7 players per team.  Eight (8) players can mean some players don't a lot of court time and we are all about participation and learning.  Five (5) players can mean if someone is sick or away theres not enough.

COACHES AND REFEREES

• We really encourage parents to coach, score and roll substitutions. This helps the game flow and for players to have a great experience. But if you don't have a coach then Swisherr will help out!
• We will supply referees that will referee and coach as the game is being played. Teaching the fundamentals while the kids are playing!
• Our referees will be drawn from our Program coaches, Swisherr Jnr holiday and after-school program coaches - so if your child has been to those programs they will know the referees already.
• There will be no team training sessions.

PLAYING TOPS - All players in each team must be wearing the same colour or top.

If you have a NEW team or new players to your team there are 2 options with playing tops;

1. Purchase Subway Swisherr Jnr. League Singlet
2. Wear another top that matches your team

If you are RETURNING to our league there are 2 options with playing tops;

1. Wear your Subway Swisherr Jnr. League singlet from last season
2. Wear another top that matches your team

Subway Swisherr Jnr. League tops can be purchased via the tickets in this event.

Reminder that ALL PLAYERS MUST BE WEARING THE SAME COLOUR OR TOP.

Numbers are NEEDED on playing tops.

COSTS

• Team entry will be $720 (to be divided amoungst you players)
• Individual player ("free agent") entry and Boys team - SEE OTHER REGISTRATION FORM.
• We work hard to keep costs down but we recogise basketball can be expensive.   Please contact us if you are unable to fund the costs for your child.
