HBA - Friday Night Hoops High School League

LEAGUE TIMES AND DATES

• Fridays - Round 1 commences 16th Feburary
• 8 week game roster (Including final round)
• Finals Round will be held 12th April (Final week of Term 1)
• Final round will be a GRAND FINAL week and every team will play in a Friday High School Hoops… 1st v 2nd, 3rd v 4th, 5th v 6th (in each Grade division).
• Easter Weekend is a BYE round, (29th March)
• Game times will be from 4:10PM and be fully concluded by 10PM. 
• All games will be held at Swisherr Hoops Academy at 103 Melville Street.

DIVISIONS

• Two divisions to enter, corresponding to 2024 school year levels. Grade 7/8.  Grade 9/10.
• Players can play up but not down a divsion.
• While club teams are welcome, we also encourage club teams to look at the great rosters run by Basketball United, Greater Western Conference and the southern Tasmanian basketball clubs.
• We welcome high school teams, domestic club teams and groups of friends. 

COACHES, REFEREES AND SCORING

• Swisherr will provide two referees for each game. 
• Teams will need to provide a coach or 'playing coach.'
• Teams must provide a scorer for their own games. (Players can score when they are on the bench) 
• There will be no team training sessions scheduled by Swisherr.

PLAYING TOPS 

• Teams must provide their own playing tops. 
• All players in each team must be wearing the same colour or top.
• Playing tops must have numbers on the back. 
• Swisherr can assist with reversible playing tops and numbers available for purchase.

VALUES, CULTURE AND CODE OF CONDUCT

• We ask players, teams and supporters to subscribe to a code of conduct that reflects these values.

COSTS

• Total cost for the league is $720.00 (to be divided amoungst your players)
• To secure your spot pay a non refundable deposit of $72.00 
• Total payment due on Feburary 9th.
